/You can click here for a picture from Hot Rod Magazine. It only begins to capture the nearly 3,000 cars that arrived. I asked Shannan about her highlight today. She told me it was hitting 150 mph in the new Camaro ZL1. Here is the back story:
We had just arrived at the event when a GM Performance team member asked us if we wanted to ride shotgun in one of the performance vehicles. They didn't have to ask twice. Shannan's ride was the Camaro ZL1. I had it a bit tougher, riding in the passenger seat of the new Corvette ZR1. At 638-horsepower, let's say it has just a tad more getty-up than our little Cobalt SS. We exceeded 160 MPH around the track. It was a blast!!
The rest of the day we visited the vendors, strolled among the cars, caught up with friends, and made some new ones. Here are some of our pictures from today: Enjoy.
